Originally part of the Charles River Speedway complex, it has been unused and steadily falling apart for many years. There will be a public meeting to present a draft report on options for future uses of the property on Monday, February 27 from 6 to 7:30PM at the Honan Allston Branch Library.<\/p>\n<p>The Brighton Allston Historical Society website has a <a title=\"BAHS Speedway article\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bahistory.org\/TrottingParks.html\" target=\"_blank\">history and photos<\/a> of the Speedway. The Boston Landmarks Commission did a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cityofboston.gov\/Images_Documents\/1_CRSAB_StudyReport_FINAL_April15%5B1%5D_tcm3-24895.pdf\" title=\"Boston Landmarks Commission study\" target=\"_blank\">study of the building<\/a> that describes the structure in detail, and provides maps and photos.
